Read Bio

Stephanie was first introduced to yoga in high school, when she signed up for a yoga elective and then dropped it after one class because she thought it was too boring. She decided to give it another chance in college while searching for ways to manage stress and anxiety. She was fascinated by how free and blissful she felt after flowing on the mat and sought to understand this essential connection between the mind and body.

To deepen her knowledge, Stephanie found herself training at Dharma Yoga in Austin. She graduated with a profound appreciation of the breath and is committed to being a life-long student of yoga.

As a current medical student at UTSW and aspiring psychiatrist, she is constantly blending her understanding of mindfulness, physical anatomy and alignment, mental health, and spirituality on the mat.

Stephanie believes yoga to be a pure form of both self-expression and self-learning and hopes to share her practice in a way that inspires others to find strength, comfort, and balance in their bodies and minds.

Tara’s yoga journey started in her college days at the local community college. Finding no real interest in the history or concept of yoga, it was merely another way to get in shape, taking care of her boy or mind, Tara found vinyasa style flow yoga.

It didn’t take long for the yoga to kick start something inside Tara– she knew within a few years she was meant to teach yoga to others. The practice allowed her to discover more about not only her body, but about herself. In exploring the poses with breath work, the world opens up a dimension of your life that is missing you’re not even aware it existed. She completed her 200 hour certification and continues her education attending workshops around the country; including Off teh Mat- Into the World’s Leadership Training.

Her teaching style incorporates a bit of fun and the idea of fearlessness– a willingness to be open– and emphasis on allignment. Having dealt with lower back pain throughout her practice, she believes in slowing the practice down to deeper understand your body and breath.
