Wendy Loven

I started practicing yoga in 2003 in order to help my body recover from a back injury. I soon discovered that yoga was good for so much more than healing back pain, it helped in all areas of my life, from reducing stress to building strength. In 2013, I completed the 200 hour training at Namah Shivaya and in 2015, I completed the 300 hour training. I love introducing new students to the benefits of yoga and showing them the myriad of ways that yoga can be used to improve every aspect of your life!

Wendy Loven instructs the following:
  • All Levels
  • This class is moderately active with the intention to challenge you a bit more than the gentle class, but still provide enough opportunity for modifications and variations so any practitioner can attend and benefit.

  • Beginners/Gentle
  • If you are new to yoga this is the class for you. Classes focus on the breath, foundations and mechanics of the postures.

  • Beginners Yoga

  • Yin
  • Yin is a focused flexibility class, designed to gently work into the fascia at a deeper level. This gentle class is perfect for beginners and advanced students, as it helps create balance in the body.

  • Meditation
  • This intro to meditation class will lay the foundation of a successful meditation practice, including breath work, concentration, and deep relaxation. Classes will vary in mediation styles allowing all participants, including beginners, to learn a variety of tools to establish a practice. An introduction to hand mudras (gestures), chakras (energy centers), and mantras (energetic statements) will be explained and introduced should you choose to practice them. Dress comfortably.

  • Gentle
  • If you have never taken a yoga class or simply prefer to move at your own pace and enjoy the gentle variations of all the postures, then this class is for you.
